Standard tablets clean, but burden your wastewater

Many tablets rely on phosphates. They soften the water, but after rinsing they end up in the wastewater and contribute to eutrophication: excessive algal blooms in lakes and rivers.

  • You have a treatment system or septic tank and care what goes into it
  • Phosphate-free tablets you’ve tried leave glasses dull
  • Tea and coffee stains stay on the mugs
  • Dried-on food needs a second wash

In homes with a treatment system or septic tank, harsh chemicals can disrupt the work of the bacteria in the system. A phosphate-free formula based on oxygen and enzymes cleans well without that compromise.

How it works

Oxygen and enzymes instead of phosphates

  • Active oxygen

Oxygen-based bleaching agents (5–15%) remove tea, coffee and wine stains.

  • Surfactants

Non-ionic surfactants dissolve grease; polycarboxylates bind dirt and soften water.

  • Enzymes

Amylase breaks down dried starch, protease tackles egg, meat and dairy residue.

Hard water

Put the tablet in the dispenser with dry hands, close the dispenser and start your chosen programme. Soak dishes with burnt-on food or food that has dried for several days beforehand. Results depend on the programme, how dirty the dishes are and your water quality, so clean the dishwasher filter regularly too.

For household automatic dishwashers only. Don’t use for washing up by hand, don’t use with a damaged dispenser and don’t use more than one tablet per cycle.

To be honest

What this product won’t do

  • It won’t replace salt in hard water

With hard and very hard water, also use dishwasher salt and rinse aid.

  • It won’t shift old burnt-on food on its own

Heavily burnt food or food dried on for several days may need soaking first.

  • It isn’t for washing up by hand

The tablets are for automatic dishwashers only.

FAQ

What our customers ask

Do I need to remove the wrapper?

No. The wrapper is soluble and dissolves completely during the wash. Handle the tablet with dry hands so the wrapper doesn’t start to dissolve before the cycle.

Are they suitable for treatment systems?

Yes. The formula is phosphate-free and was developed with domestic treatment systems in mind. As with any cleaning product, stick to one tablet per cycle and check that the product suits your system.

Do I need salt and rinse aid?

With normal water hardness, the tablet copes on its own. With hard and very hard water, we recommend dishwasher salt and rinse aid: the salt softens the water and protects the machine from limescale, and the rinse aid speeds up drying and prevents spots on glasses.

What kind of dirt does it clean?

Everyday dirt: grease, dried-on food, tea and coffee stains. For very dirty dishes choose the intensive programme; for ordinary loads the Eco programme is usually enough.

Can they cause an allergic reaction?

The tablets contain enzymes (subtilisin, alpha-amylase) and may produce an allergic reaction in sensitive people. They irritate the eyes. Wash your hands thoroughly after use and keep the tablets out of reach of children.

How many tablets are in the box?

40 tablets of 18 g each (720 g net). One tablet means one cycle, so the box lasts for 40 full cycles.
